How to book an appointment?

We are unable to book patients in branch. You must either book online using the NHS national booking system or by calling 119. You may have received a text message saying that you are eligible for a covid vaccination or booster. You can if you are eligible for a covid vaccination by clicking here

The NHS will invite you to book your vaccination

The NHS will contact you when you're eligible to book your COVID-19 vaccine and you’ll be directed to call NHS 119 or go to the national booking system, where you can choose your preferred location, dates and times for both of your vaccination appointments.

Once you have selected a Pickfords Pharmacy location for your vaccination, please attend your appointment on time.

On your appointment date, arrive at your chosen vaccination centre, no more than 2 minutes before your appointment time. Bring your booking reference number with you so that you can be checked in quickly on the day.  

If you cannot attend for whatever reason, please cancel your appointment on the calendar so that someone else can have your appointment slot.

You will be given information and self-care advice after your vaccine

Our vaccinators will provide information and self-care advice and answer any questions that you may have. You may also be asked to provide feedback of your experience to help us make any necessary improvements to our service. 

 

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions:

+ Which vaccine is being used at our vaccination centres?

You will be told on the day of your vaccination which vaccination you will be recieving

+ Do you need to go to the same Covid-19 vaccination centre for your booster?

You can visit any vaccination clinic to have your booster vaccinations

+ Can I have the vaccine if I have allergies?

The vaccine is very safe and can be given to people who may have a history of allergies to, for example certain food. When you attend the vaccination centre, you will be screened by clinical staff to ensure that the vaccine is appropriate for you. The staff will ask questions about allergies and medication that you are taking, so please have this information to hand.

+ What do I do if I don’t feel well to attend my vaccination appointment?

If you do not feel well ahead of your appointment date, it is best that you cancel the appointment on the national booking system so that your slot can be given to someone else. Please do this at least 24 hours before your appointment. You can then rebook a new appointment for another date when you are feeling better.
