Free blood pressure check

We offer a free blood pressure check for anyone who:

• are aged 40 or over.

• Have not had their blood pressure checked in the last 6 months by a healthcare professional.

• Never previously been diagnosed with high blood pressure.

What happens when you get your blood pressure checked?

A member of our pharmacy team, will wrap a blood pressure cuff around your upper arm to measure your blood pressure. They will then share the result with you.

Depending on the result, they might:

• give you advice to support healthy living

• give you a blood pressure monitor to take home with you and return later. This allows your blood pressure to be measured as you go about your daily life

• advise you to see a GP

Around 1 in 4 adults in the UK have high blood pressure, but many don’t know it. It can increase your risk of having a heart attack or stroke.
